- Make sure you purchase tickets to the correct show, you can check your child's show on our Concert Info Site here.

COSTUME BALANCES

- Reminder that costume balances are due in full before costume collection.

VIP ENROLMENT DAY - SUNDAY 9TH NOVEMBER

- For those new to APA, we have our annual VIP Enrolment Day coming up on Sunday 9th November! This is chance to be the first to see our 2026 timetable, enrol in classes before we open them up to the public, and secure a special VIP gift for the first 100 enrolments on the day! You don't want to miss out on this gift so make sure you come along anytime between 10am - 12pm!

- Yesterday all families were emailed regarding concert costume balances. Our 2025 Concert Information Site will be released to all families early next week! We can't believe concert is only 6 weeks away!

- Friday 24th October (tonight) and Saturday 25th October there are some concrete works happening in the complex (far side near Carvery) so we ask our families to be cautious of the area when driving as it will be blocked off. We've been advised that our families can enter and exit just via the entry gate so please be cautious of other cars. Obviously the carparks will on the entry side will fill up quite quickly on Saturday however there are plenty of carparks at the rear of the complex. Please just take care walking to and from your car with your child.

- Congratulations to all our ballet exams students for completing their exams last Friday! All exams for 2025 are now complete and we are so proud of all our participants this year!

- Big congratulations to our Junior Pom team for winning their first competition for the year last Saturday! This team has done an exceptional job and we can't wait to see them hit the stage again in Nov!

- We hope everyone has enjoyed the start of Term 3! Our performance team students have been very busy at their last competitions for 2025 the past few weekends. Good luck to our 8/under, 10/under & 12/under teams competing this weekend!

- We are very excited as some classes have started concert routines!! The APA team are deep into concert preparations and we can't wait for this years concert productions!

Important Reminders/Notices:

- Next week is PJ week for the entire studio! Come to class dressed in your PJs, just make sure you can still dance!

- Classes ON as normal Wednesday 13th August (EKKA Wednesday)

- We've had quite a few parents asking about Fair Play vouchers. Unfortunately their strict criteria does not make mainstream dance studios like us eligible to be providers therefore we have been declined. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Concert Costume Deposits:

• During the holiday period no normal classes will be held, except for our scheduled make up lessons from our cyclone closure. All affected families were sent a reminder email this morning with schedule or you can find schedule here.

• Term 2 tuition has been posted to your accounts and statements have been sent. Reminder that tuition is due in full on first day of term 2 unless you are a direct debit customer. To sign up for direct debit for Term 2 please log in to your parent portal and click on Enrol in Auto Pay on the main dashboard.

• Term 2 Dates: Tuesday 22nd April to Saturday 28th June. No classes will be held on Easter Monday 21st April or ANZAC Day 25th April.

• Reminder Parent Viewing Week is this week - Monday 24th March to Saturday 29th March. Week 9 is our parent viewing week to allow our parents to watch the progress over this last term.

  A couple of reminders for parents: 

  - Remember this is still a class environment, students must not be distracted so please watch quietly, keep phones on silent, avoid entering and exiting the room multiple times and don't distract the students by talking directly to them when they are learning.

  - There will be moments in the class when they can go have a hug with mum or dad in class breaks. 

  - This can sometimes be a little overwhelming especially for our littlest dancers so please have a little chat to them before to help them prepare for the class. 

  - Please no filming during the class unless advised it is okay to do so by staff.

  - We only have limited chairs available so we would recommend bringing a cushion for our larger classes. 

  - Core Performance Team classes are closed to parents.

• Next week is our final week of term 1 however reminder that the following week we will be running makeup lessons for Monday afternoon, Thursday, Friday & Saturday classes that were missed due to cyclone.

• All affected families during our Cyclone Alfred closure were emailed on Monday regarding our scheduled makeup lessons. Please check that email for further details. We have scheduled these during the first week of upcoming school holidays and have stuck to everyone's normal weekly class times & days (see timetable attached here). We thought this would be the simplest way to ensure all classes were made up without adding too much confusion to families.

• Term 2 Tuition will be billed to your accounts by the end of this week. This will be due in full on first day of Term 2 which is 22nd April.

• Term 2 Dates: Tuesday 22nd April to Saturday 28th June. No classes will be held on Easter Monday 21st April or ANZAC Day 25th April.

  - This can sometimes be a little overwhelming especially for our littlest dancers so please have a little chat to them before to help them prepare for the class. 

  - We only have limited chairs available so we would recommend bringing a cushion for our larger classes.

  - Please note: Exam workshop dates are for our eligible jazz, tap & ballet exam students only. Firmer schedules and final confirmation of these dates will be finalised once we know more about exam groups etc.

  - Mid Year Showcase is still to be confirmed but it will be held in end of Term 2.

  - Performance team families we are just finalising comps for 2025 and you will all receive more information in the coming weeks.

• Welcome to the first Friday News Update of 2025! We can't believe we are at the end of Week 2 already. It has been a fabulous last couple weeks seeing everyone again, hearing about their holiday break and what they are looking forward to in 2025. It's going to be an incredible year!

• Term 1 Dates: Tuesday 28 January to Saturday 5 April.

• Reminder that term fees are now due if you are paying in full. Those who are signed up for direct debits, these run each Friday throughout the term. If you haven't signed up for direct debit yet, you can do so via your parent portal. Click Enrol in Auto Pay.

• Class schedules can be accessed via your parent portal or app, so please check class times there whilst getting into the new routine.
